Hello,
Saw the great ratings for this Big and Tall chair and took a chance. Chain of events:
1) Chair arrived quickly. Had to call India for tech support because no assembly instructions were included. Wait 3 days for a fax. Put chair together.
2) Why does this TALL chair max out at a top height of only 19"? Call India for tech support (again)only to find out that the company sells 2 (two) chairs under the same SKU number. One goes as high as 23.25", and the other is this one, at only 19".
3) Contact Amazon promoted Dealer and try to get a new (TALL!)piston or some guidance. Told to keep chair as it is, or send it back on my dime.
4) Contact Amazon promoted Dealer(again). Told to keep chair as it is, or send it back on my dime.
5) Recieve RMA number from Dealer along with an extensive description of all the things I could have done (like opening the box) that will cause deductions from or total denial of my "refund".
What I have learned. Even if you buy through Amazon, read return rules for each dealer. Some are so specifically ludacris that were the chair made of gold it still would not be worth the risk even at this price. I have been promised a "full" refund, but even if I get it I am nonetheless out the $60 for the return shipping.
What I could have done about the Manufacturer selling two different chairs under the same item number I don't know, but the Dealer certainly didn't see it as their problem and the end result is no chair and money lost that I certainly can't spare.
End result,..I've been treated better buying from stangers on e-bay then I was in this transaction. Had the chair been what was expected it probably would have been fine. I wish you best of luck should you decide to go through wiith this purchase.
